Hello boys and girls and welcome to our humble abode! Calvyn and I just moved in last week so We've been extremely busy unpacking and such. You guys get to be the first to take a sneek peak into our new home. We haven't fully furnished the place yet, but will be once our bank accounts starts to get fat again. I'm loving everything about it so far, I mean who doesn't love a gastown 1911 Heritage conversion loft with 11 foot ceilings, polished concrete floors, exposed brick wall, integrated appliances, and a european kitchen/bathroom with exposed concrete beams?

PS. I'd love to hear some of your design ideas. What do you think I could do with the place next? A coffee table would be practical. Any suggestions?

PPS. Have you entered my giveaway for a brand new Hana Elite 1" Flat Iron? The deadline is the 30th! Enter while you can! It's free :)

Your new place looks so chic and modern all at the same time! I was going to say a coffee table would be very convenient, but perhaps to go along with the white theme, maybe a simple round white coffee table would be alright?

Ah congrats on moving in! Your apt. looks super fab, my favorite detail would have to be this amazing brick wall - the look of it against the white wall and white window frames, together with the concrete floors and soft colored furniture, is just so welcoming, so cozy, the wall just adds so much character! So I guess if I were you and were to live in this place I'd be extremely careful with adding furniture to the room - I wouldn't want to ruin it's amazing atmosphere, so I would really take my time with choosing what things to add. (I'm thinking soem simple white curtains, maybe some very low sitting coffe table, something understated - so that it doesn't take attention away from the wall. And also, some stylish magazine and newspaper home stand just comes to mind - not sure what it's really called though lol) As for the kitchen and bathroom - that's where I'd really want to add a whole lot of personality, I would add bold color touches too.

Some funky bright accent accessories all around. I think burnt orange or orange/red would be amazing to play of off the brick wall. Also a small oval coffee table such as this: http://chintz.com/p-261766-borghese-coffee-table-oval.aspx

Have fun decorating!

it looks amazing! i'm in love with the exposed brick wall and the chair!! i think you should go for a simple, round, dark brown coffee table to make your living room less square, maybe something vintage or vintage-looking?

I looove it, it's like my ideal place!!! I really like the exposed brick, and the Black & White theme, that way your clothes can add the punch of color in your day :D

Congratulations Michael, and Calvyn too! Your home looks amazing! My favorite part... the brick wall... and the polished concret floors come in at a close second. I don't really have a clue when it comes to home decor. But from the looks of it, seems like you've got every thing under control. If you did add a coffee table.. maybe something not too cumbersome. :)

Hope you're having a lovely Sunday!

xx Love & Aloha

Can I move in???
I'm so in love with the exposed brick wall, the oversized chair and the sleek lines of the kitchen. I say go an almost-over-the-top theme... big furniture, vintage frames, gaudy lamps. The openness will allow for that, in my opinion.

Congrats, you two!! :D

You apartment is very stylish. Love it. I am actually moving into a place with a friend on Monday, so there will be lots of unpacking the re-arranging to do.

I don't think you need any suggestions. You seem to being doing just fine on your own!

ahhh love your place!

congratulations!

hmmmm as for suggestions- a coffee table would probably be really handy, i think wrought iron legs with a glass or onyx top, you could really design one to your aesthetic if you want- we did that (my father is a contractor and therefor it worked out cheaper and we got exactly what we wanted in the size that we wanted). i can email you some pics if you wanna go that route.

again- congratulations to both of you!

I love the furnishings in it already- you shouldn't add too much more. Though judging from all your pics on here you have amazing style and it will be fabulous whatever you do!
