Today is a sad day in the world of fashion. One of my favourite designers, Alexander Mcqueen was found dead this Thursday at his luxe multi-million pound flat in Central London, hanged. His mother passed away less than a week ago, it was reported that he was depressed the week following her death. Poor McQueen.
At the young age of 40 McQueen had some of the most elite hooked on his designs, including Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Prince Charles, Sarah Jessica Parker, Naomi Campbell, and The Haute Bitch. McQueen's upcoming show at New York Fashion Week, which starts today, was cancelled after news of the death.
A statement on behalf of his family was issued:
"Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home. At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee's family. Lee's family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this."

he will definitely be missed. i still can't believe that he's gone...forever. i'm still trying to wrap my head about that fact.

i will forever be inlove and obsessed with this collectionnand his fall 2009 collection...hell their are several collections he has done that i loved..I did a lot of reports on him in school.
He is legendary. Sad he had to go out like that.
